The Joint Task Force (JTF) in the Niger Delta, Operation Delta Safe says allegations that it invaded Igbomotoru community in Bayelsa is baseless and an attempt to distract ongoing efforts to stamp out oil theft.

Joint Military Task Force, codenamed Operation Delta Safe (OPDS), yesterday explained its operations in Bayelsa communities in Southern Ijaw Council, saying it was only carrying out it’s mandate of protecting national assets from vandals and oil thieves.
