Oyo State Governor and presidential candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Engineer Seyi Makinde, on Monday defended the use of diesel-powered generators to illuminate some streetlights in the state, saying the arrangement was necessitated by the country's persistent electricity challenges.
