Glo launches TV to mark 18 years

As part of activities to mark its 18 years of operations in Nigeria, Globacom has unveiled Glo TV, a television streaming service on web, IOS and Android apps, providing Video on Demand, catch-up contents and watching of live linear TV.

As part of activities to mark its 18 years of operations in Nigeria, Globacom has unveiled Glo TV, a television streaming service on web, IOS and Android apps, providing Video on Demand, catch-up contents and watching of live linear TV.

Globacom, which will be 18 years, on August 29, unveiled the new product at a press conference in Lagos, yesterday. The firm said the Glo TV app is powered by the reliable Glo 4G technologies, which ensures a smooth streaming experience. It said highly sought-after television content would be beamed to millions of subscribers via their desktop and mobile handheld devices.

“Glo TV brings engaging, interactive and premium entertainment content through a rich bouquet of offerings including hundreds of live entertainment programmes, music, documentary, news, original shows, fashion, lifestyle, kiddies’ interest channels and over 1,000 videos as the company continues to partner with content providers to address the needs of more customers across social strata,” Globacom said.

The company said: “This first-of-its-kind mobile TV initiative will offer the best premium all-round entertainment, news and sports content and is set to become Nigeria’s one-stop entertainment destination.

“We are confident that, with the launch of Glo TV, our network will cater to the content preferences of Nigerians across different socio-economic groups and offer them an exclusive opportunity to experience the best-in-class TV content.”

Glo TV, according to Globacom, will delight subscribers with a variety of choices including news, education, entertainment and cartoons. It assured that there would never be dull moments all through.

It said viewers could catch up with news-on-the-go channels including Aljazeera and France24, same for CGTN and RT Documentary, among many others, for those in love with documentary channels.

This is in addition to different children channels including ZooMOO, English Club TV and Lollykids, which offers healthy entertainment and robust education to children of all ages and Nolly Africa, African Movie Channel and Legacy Network for all ages, among others.

Subscribers are required to visit myglotv.com to register and download the Glo TV app free of charge till September 30, 2021. Pre-paid and post-paid subscribers on Glo network will be eligible to register for the app once they have compliant android and iPhone devices.
