NCC, Swiss Embassy, RIIS South Africa for Nigeria Innovation Summit

Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive officer (EVC/CEO) of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Prof. Umar Danbatta; Consul General, Switzerland in Lagos, Nigeria, Yves Nicolet; CEO, Research Institute for Innovation and Sustainability (RIIS), South Africa, Davis Cook are listed among the participants for this year’s Nigeria Innovation Summit.

Others are the CEO and Founder of OneDokita Healthcare Limited, Dr. Daniel Folukoya; Senior Education Specialist at World Bank, Dr. Tunde Adekola and Head of Computer Sciences Department, University of Lagos, Prof. Charles Uwadia.

Nigeria Innovation Summit, a yearly event in Nigeria that focuses on the need for the country, businesses, organisations, entrepreneurs to become more innovative and apply innovation to drive economic growth and sustainable development will hold on November 3 to 4, at Sheraton Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos on the theme: ‘Innovation: A-key Driver of Economic Growth and Sustainable Development.’

This summit which is sponsored and supported by NCC, OneDokita Healthcare Limited and Society for Family Health is geared towards helping Nigeria embrace innovation like never before through the use of emerging technologies and trends, research, development, entrepreneurship and investments as key drivers of an innovation ecosystem. It is a platform that creates awareness on the need for open innovation in Nigeria.

It challenges Nigeria to leverage Innovation and become competitive and join other countries that are using innovation to drive their economies.

The summit, through the Nigeria Innovation Awards promotes leading innovations from Nigeria and recognizes innovators who are pacesetters.
