Reliance Infosystems, LBS task businesses on AI adoption

The management of Reliance Infosystems in partnership with the Lagos Business School (LBS) has urged business executives and organisations to maximise opportunities for artificial intelligence (AI) to be globally competitive amidst a dynamic digital landscape.

At an AI Masterclass for C-level executives held in Lagos, one of the facilitators and members of LBS, Dr Nkemdilim Iheanachor, insisted business executives must endeavour to implement AI strategy in their organisations.

To him, “the AI conversation is timely. According to a 2024 PwC Nigeria report, businesses and workplaces are expected to record a sharp increase in AI adoption by 2025 as firms look to improve efficiency and decision-making.     However, Nigeria’s AI readiness remains uneven, with infrastructural challenges and fragmented digital policies slowing progress.”

Group Managing Director, Reliance Infosystems, Yemi Popoola, said: “AI is now. Anybody that does not jump on the train now will be left behind. Executives must look out for consulting organisations that can help them tailor their footsteps.

“AI cuts across sales, administration, finance, logistics, supply chain, health care and retail. So, the role AI plays across the spectrum of business activity is unending.”

Group Vice President Data Excellence Reliance Infosystems, Eniola Benjamin-Ade said, “AI is no longer a distant future. AI is now. The organisations that leverage the potential today will lead tomorrow. Our goal is to demystify AI, to support and equip executives in building a sustainable AI strategy.”
