RootHub holds 2019 StarconFest in Uyo


RootHub, a tech organisation is set to hold the 5th edition of its annual festival StartConFest at Uyo, Akwa-Ibom State with a 3-day activity starting from the 26th till 28th of September.

StartConFest, celebrated annually, is a platform where technology industry players, businessmen and leaders converge to collaborate, network, learn and have fun.

The 2019 edition themed Create The Future, is expected to have over 5000 attendees. it will feature workshops, innovation, experience and music zones, creativity stage and a marketplace for vendors to exhibit their products and services.

The event, taking place at Ibom Hall, Uyo, features guest speakers that will share stories of their journey and experiences in the industry and also offer mentorship opportunities to startups.

Speakers include Emo Umoh, Co-founder, Global Air Media &Global Air Academy, Chinonso Ogbogu, Founder, Sabi Writers, Frank Edima, Brand Strategist &Social Entrepreneur, Ibukun Oshilagun, Lead UX designer at AppZone Group, Dr Adereni Abiodun, Founder/CEO, HelpMum, Namnso Ukpanah, Product Designer, Flutterwave and Joey Akan, an entertainment journalist.

The co-convener of the festival Tony Onuk said the festival was in the interest of the future as they had teamed up with new partners, introducing new sessions to generate an all-round participation and growing the startup culture.

Onuk disclosed that Team StartConFest has lined up 40 excellent individuals from different industries to ensure the festival our attendees know and love, keeps growing.
