Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related Offences Commission (ICPC), Prof. Bolaji Owasanoye, has confirmed the receipt of N1.26 billion grant this year by the anti-graft agency.
Making the disclosure during the commission’s end-of-year get-together in Abuja, he gave the breakdown as $1.5 million (N458 million) and another £2 million (N806 million) from donor agencies, including the UKAid, Department of International Development (DFID), MacArthur Foundation and ActionAid.
A statement by ICPC spokesperson, Mrs. Rasheedat Okoduwa, said Owasanoye also lauded the Federal Government for improved funding of the commission in the outgoing year.
The ICPC chair said the agency recorded 94 per cent performance in budgetary releases for overhead and 100 per cent each for capital expenditure and personnel cost.
