– Church Honours Coscharis Boss, Dr. Cosmos Maduka, Others
The General Overseer of Bride Assembly Church, Lagos, Pastor Moses Alu has described the dedication of its ultra-modern Cathedral called, Light House, as victory over several battles.
At the yearly thanksgiving service and dedication of the magnificent church, the General Overseer, who was visibly excited over the huge success of the event, said: “I’m very happy, specifically because it’s good to have a permanent site of worship in a place like Lagos State. God gave us the place, but we fought battles to possess it. We fought with government, neighbours and land grabbers. God has given us victory. The church was demolished seven years ago, but it has been rebuilt in a better way than when it was demolished. We have cause to rejoice.”
The cleric, who explained why the church auditorium was dedicated after being in existence for over 21, said: “We got this place 14 years ago. Barely seven years after the ministry started, we came to this land and developed it as a place of worship. But Lagos State government demolished it. And it took us another seven years to rebuild it. But today it is well structured, completed and dedicated to the glory of God.”
Aside church members’ commitment to the building project, Alu also appreciated some non-members for their contributions.
He particularly thanked the chairman of Coscharis Motors, Dr. Cosmos Maduka for his contributions, saying: “Dr. Cosmos Maduka is my bosom friend. He stood by me financially when it was tough. He encouraged and supported me at critical moments to go on with the building project. I won’t fail to appreciate my Associate Pastor, Bro. Francis Ezeaniekwe for his innovative ideas. We are giving awards of appreciation to our committed members and outsiders, for their contributions to the project and for standing by us during our trials and wilderness experience.”
