First case of coronavirus recorded in Kano

The first case of the new coronavirus has been recorded in Kano State, the state commissioner of health Aminu Ibrahim Tsanyawa said on Saturday.

Tsanyawa, who confirmed the news via text message to The Guardian, said the Government will soon address journalists on the development.

The virus was first confirmed in Nigeria on February 27.
