The Executive Chairman, Bauchi State Orphans and Vulnerable Children Agency (BASOVCA), Mrs. Hassana Arkila, has been suspended by Governor Bala Mohammed for alleged misconduct.

The governor had, last month, suspended the Executive Secretary of Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board and ordered an investigation into his administration.

In a letter signed by his media aide, Muktar Gidado, yesterday, Mohammed ordered Arkila to vacate the office with immediate effect for proper investigation into the affairs of the agency following alleged misconduct.

“Consequently, she is directed to hand over the affairs of the agency to the most senior officer, pending the outcome of the investigation,” he added.
