Serial entrepreneur, music artist, model, humanitarian and Chief Executive Officer of Sheman Beauty, Shelly Usman has described beauty as power. In a recent interview the 20 year-old CEO who is half Nigerian, half German made the assertion while talking about her growth as a serial entrepreneur who has a hands in many pies with a good record of success.

According to her, “Beauty is power to me that’s what it means because when you’re beautiful a lot of attention is on you and everyone today, men or women focus on their health and looks when they make money. When you look good you attract a certain class of people

Shelly Usman is a spectacle of amazing beauty herself. She was born and raised in Zimbabwe until she was 19 years old and decided to seek out her culture. She came to Nigeria in 2018 and began her life as an adult.

She’s a talented singer who started singing in Zimbabwe in 2017. When she landed in her fatherland, Nigeria in 2018 music was very hot on her plate. But the demands of making it in the no-holds-barred Nigerian music space was too much for her so she decided to try out the business which has truly defined her life.

For Shelly Usman, not being able to pursue a music career didn’t put paid to her dream of making a success of her life. When music didn’t work the Nigerian-Germain turned her attention to business. And since she started humbly the story has not ended as her coasts enlarged even more.

When she came to Nigeria in 2018, she opened a saloon and boutique in Fola Osibo, Lekki, Lagos. After some time, she moved to another location and started a bigger saloon and lounge in Lekki, Emma Abimbola Cole Street called Chillax Lounge. In 2019 she started another business having her own beauty line called Sheuman Beauty

She also had a beverage company which she called Chillax Beverages Company where she distributed gourmets and cocktail syrups to restaurants and lounges in Lagos.

Shelly Usman was born March 24, 1999 in Zimbabwe. She hails from Mbaitolu Ogwa in Imo State.

“I like making money that’s why I started these businesses although I’m young and was prone to making mistakes which I did make and greatly learnt from to make myself a better person today,” she admits. I moved to Nigeria to start my life as an adult and to know more about my culture … Zimbabwe is a peaceful country but I would prefer Nigeria because it has so many opportunities. Like they say, it’s a country of ‘greenland, ‘ she revealed.
