Soludo names 80-member Anambra transition committee

Anambra State Governor-elect, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has released a list of 80-member transition committee to assist his swearing in on March 17, 2022.

In a statement issued, yesterday, by Soludo’s media aide, Joe Anatume, the list comprises 80 members, with prominent Nigerians, who will play diverse roles.

He said the committee would liaise with a team set up by the government of Anambra State to ensure seamless transition from Governor Willie Obiano’s administration to a Soludo-led administration as from March 17, 2022.

The statement confirmed that former Minister of Education, Dr. Oby Ezekwesili, is Chairman of the committee, while Prof. Benedict Oramah, Prof. Pat Utomi and Osita Chidoka would play crucial roles in the transition arrangement.

Other members are: Uche Okafor, Prof. Chidi Odinkalu, Steve Nworga, Ben Nwankwo, Charles Odedo, Tony Ifeanya, Ferdinand Agu, Prof. Osita Ogbu, Chikwe Udensi, Greg Ibe and Alex Otti, among others.

The statement further said the terms of reference for the committee, as well as its mode of operation, will be communicated during the inauguration and first plenary session scheduled for between January 19 and 22, 2022 at the Golden Tulip (Agulu Lake) Hotel in the state.

It also said members are expected to arrive on Wednesday, January 19, while the inauguration and first plenary sessions will start on January 20, adding that the secretariat would handle logistics.
