The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has assured Nigerians of an improved electoral process that would make the votes of the electorate to count in the June 18, 2022 governorship election in Ekiti State.

The Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Ekiti state, Dr. Tella Adeniran, who stated this yesterday, while declaring open a voter education implementation workshop organised by the commission for stakeholders ahead of the election, said the commission was ready and fully prepared for Ekiti State election.

The REC said that the commission was determined and prepared to conduct credible and acceptable election, assuring the stakeholders of INEC’s neutrality.

He said that the technological innovations in election management as witnessed in 2021 Anambra governorship election and the recent council election in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) would be adequately deployed to guarantee the integrity of the process.
