19-year-old Jos-based artiste, Shon Nerat, is another maverick set to redefine the Nigerian music community. Like many other successful Jos-grown artistes, such as MI Abaga, Ice Prince, among others, Shon Nerat, professionally known as Shon the Fantasizer, blends a mesmerising mix of rap, trap, and pop in his audacious discography. 

The Kano-born singer and rapper kicked off his music career with his just-released jam, Runaway, which precedes his highly anticipated debut dubbed, The Fantasizer.

 
“Runaway was inspired by a friend’s relationship experience. The melodious song laced on rhythmic and thumping instrumentals is a sonorous ballad which showcases Shon’s versatility as an artist,” he tells Weekend Beats. 

Produced by the hitmaker, Ozedikus, Runaway, the sun is set to shine on Shon as he wades through the industry.
