Attack on LP candidate’s residence wicked, says Ogunbiyi

Fire has razed the residence of the governorship candidate of the Accord Party (AP), Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi, in his hometown, Ile Ogbo in Ayedire Local Council of Osun State.

It was gathered that the building went up in flames around 7:45 p.m. on Sunday evening. Ogunbiyi, who thanked the people for sympathising with him over the fire incidence, said that he cherished the concerns and prayers of his supporters over the incidence.

In a statement, yesterday, by the media team of his campaign organisation, Ogunbiyi said that whatever happens, he was determined to liberate the people of Osun from bad and wicked governance at all levels.

The AP candidate, who did not reveal what caused the fire or who was responsible, advised the people to vote for him with their conscience for a new dawn to come upon the state.

RELATEDLY, Ogunbiyi has expressed a rude shock over the attack on LP’s candidate by some unknown assailants.

In a statement, yesterday, by the media team of his campaign organisation, Ogunbiyi said the attack on Yussuff residence was wicked and unfortunate and a sign that politicians had not learnt any good lesson from past occurrences. He, however, urged all to shun evil and any action that could disturb the peace of the state.
