A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State, Jeffery Sunday Mordi, has charged the political class to put the interest of the nation above other considerations for the unity and overall well-being of Nigerians.

Addressing reporters at Okpanam, Oshimili North Council of the state, Mordi stated that it was time politicians brought the dividends of democracy to the doorstep of Nigerians, especially youths.
He flayed the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for its seeming inability to tackle the nation’s economic woes.

Mordi, who doubles as Deputy Chief Whip of Oshimili North Council legislative arm, described the misunderstanding between ex-Vice President Atiku Abubakar and Rivers Governor Nyesom Wike as normal in a political setting, noting: “Despite the prevailing challenge, the party remains one indivisible entity.”
