
The Commissioner, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Olalere Odusote, revealed this when the National Chairman of the NIPetE, Prisca Kanebi, led some zonal chairmen on a courtesy call to his office.
He applauded the management of the institution for their efforts in the profession and encouraged them to pay attention to some grey areas.
In a response, Kanebi said the institution was exploring to restructure the curriculum, with stakeholders, to achieve the gap-bridge goal.
Kanebi assured that the institution would continue to champion the development of the profession to meet the industry needs.
Also, present at the meeting were the Zonal Co-ordinator, Southwest, Adebowale Orekoya; the Chairman of Nigerian Institution of Environmental Engineers, Sesan Odukoya and the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Ms. Shasore Sholabomi.
