Almost two years after 9jaDiss was laid to rest, co-founder of JdiCyber, Uthman Akinpelu popularly known as Akinthefirst is returning to newspapering with a renewed strategy.

The independent, pro-investigation multi-media online news platform focused primarily on digital assets, finance, tech and economy

The online paper was unveiled at a colourful ceremony to be headlined by some of Nigeria’s business and political leaders.

The company’s chief executive officer, Uthman Akinpelu explained that the platform would deliver knowledge-driven journalism in pursuit of Nigeria’s progress while aiming to ensure a long-lasting reliable news source now that they have rebranded.

The paper, he said, will target the financial and tech space while also appealing to millions of the country’s youths. He expects that within a year, the paper would be able to stamp its influence on the market and become a dominant player in the field.
Uthman later stated that the news platform would be tailored to meet the needs of an increasingly diversified readership base both in Nigeria and outside the shores of the country.

As part of its special offerings, the newspaper plans to offer job employment to only Nigerians and create more job openings such as content creators, financial analysts, publishers and so much more as the newspaper grows.

‘With great power, comes great responsibility. We would ensure that at least twenty Nigerians are employed and the newspaper would be having a section for recommended job openings because that is the least it can offer to the Nigerian youths, Uthman said.
