Tinubu’s govt more promising than Buhari’s, says Adamawa PDP Rep

Buhari and Tinubu
President Bola Tinubu’s administration has received commendation from a House of Representatives member on the platform of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Adamawa State.

Laori Kwamoti, representing Numan, Demsa/Lamurde Federal Constituency of the state for a second term, told journalists, yesterday, in Abuja, after his inauguration, that the few decisions Tinubu has, so far, taken have put his government on the positive lane of development.

He noted that the President’s appointments of experienced hands and removal of fuel subsidy within two weeks in office are a confirmation that he has a blue print to rescue the country from claws of maladministration as witnessed in the past.

He said: “The government of President Tinubu looks more promising than the immediate past administration. His actions show that he was prepared for the office even before the election.”

Kwamoti pointed out that appointments of former Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila, as Chief of Staff (CoS) and George Akume as Secretary to Goverment of the Federation (SGF) have rekindled the confidence of Nigerians that Tinubu has a clear vision for the country.

On allegations of rubber-stamp National Assembly, he said that opposition parties have a good number to put the leadership on its toes if it attempts to go against the interest of Nigerians.

He added: “There is no room for what they are calling rubber-stamp, because the new leadership is occupied by experienced and independent minds who would not allow themselves be pushed around by the executive.”

He urged Nigerians to set aside politics and join the National Assembly to ensure the current administration continues to provide services that can bring economic development and tackle insecurity in the country.
