“I didn’t want you to see me like that man,” Foxx said. “I didn’t want you to see me with tubes running out of me and trying to figure out if I was gonna make it through.”
Foxx did not specify what illness he was battling, but he said that he is now on the mend. “I’m not paralyzed, but I went to hell and back,” he said. “And my road to recovery had some potholes as well. But I’m coming back and I’m able to work.”
Foxx also thanked his fans for their support during his hospitalization. “I know a lot of people were waiting or wanting to hear updates,” he said. “But to be honest with you, I just didn’t want you to see me like that.”
Foxx’s hospitalization came as he was filming the upcoming Netflix movie “Back in Action.” The film, which also stars Dwayne Johnson, was forced to shut down production for several weeks while Foxx recovered.
Foxx’s video has been met with an outpouring of support from his fans. “So glad you’re doing better,” one fan commented. “We’ve been worried about you.”
“You’re a true inspiration,” another fan wrote. “We’re all rooting for you.”
Foxx’s recovery is a welcome relief for his fans and colleagues. The actor is one of the most talented and versatile stars in Hollywood, and his return to the screen will be a major event.
In the meantime, Foxx’s fans can take comfort in knowing that he is on the mend and that he is planning to make a full recovery.
