According to him, kidnappers have bombarded Gantsa Town, the Buji Local Council headquarters and abducted Buji’s father. The Guardian learnt that the incident occurred on Tuesday night, and the victim’s family members were yet to be contacted by the kidnappers for ransom. Shiisu, who confirmed the incident, assured that the police were on top of the situation. He said the police would not relent in ensuring the safety of life and property of inhabitants of Jigawa State at all levels.

Meanwhile, a five-year-old boy, simply identified as Salmanu, was on Tuesday night slain by unknown persons in a nearby village around Kazaure Local Council of the state.

The Guardian learnt that the deceased left home healthy only to return with multiple and deep machete wounds. The boy was rushed to the hospital by the family, but was confirmed dead after losing so much blood.

Similarly, the police spokesperson has confirmed the killing of a bricklayer in Kudai village, Dutse Local Council. The bricklayer was abducted by unidentified persons, who called him out with a promise to offer a job at construction sites in Dutse.

He was, however, strangled to death by the roadside, on his way to one of the construction sites. Shiisu said investigation is ongoing to unravel the perpetrators of this dastardly act.
