Zulum receives another rescued Chibok Schoolgirl in Maiduguri

Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, has received another rescued Chibok schoolgirl in Maiduguri, the state capital. Rebecca Magu was abducted by the Boko Haram terrorists along with 275 other students, while writing their Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) in Chibok on April 14, 2014.
 
While handing over Rebecca, yesterday, to the governor, the National Coordinator, Counter Terrorism Centre (ONSA), Rear Admiral Yem Musa (rtd), disclosed that Rebecca was rescued in Cameroon on July 17, 2023, by troops of the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF).He said that with the rescue of Rebecca, she could be reunited with her families and continue with her education.
  
The governor assured that the state government will support Rebecca and all other rescued victims of Boko Haram from the state.
 
The ONSA delegation was received by the state Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Zuwaira Gambo, at Muhammadu Buhari International Airport, Maiduguri.
