Lagos State government has urged youths in the state to shun vices and embrace change by leveraging opportunities available in technology to solve environmental issues for sustainability and improved economy.
Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Youth and Social Development, Toyin Oke-Osanyintolu, who gave the charge, at the weekend, during a seminar organised by PELSE Consulting for youths in commemoration of the International Youth Day, with the theme, Green Skills for Youth: Towards Sustainable World,” said the state government would embark on series of youth engagement geared towards their inclusion in socio-economic development of the state.
She said that the international youth day was set aside to focus on youths as important resources in nation-building and to honour and recognise their contributions in the state.
Oke-Osanyintolu said the knowledge of green skills would compel the nation to adjust its services, products and processes to climate change and related environmental requirements and regulation.
