42-year-old fashion designer needs N5 million for breast cancer treatment

Forty-two-year-old woman, Oluwabukola Onoja, who was diagnosed of breast cancer on May 9, 2023, is in an urgent need of N5 million to save her life.
 
She was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer at St. Cyril Cancer Treatment Foundation, Owokoniran, Idi-Oro, Mushin, Lagos, and has been on chemotherapy treatments ever since .
 
Already, Onoja had been administered five courses of chemotherapy treatments and still needs to undergo more before her surgery.
 
Clinic Administrator, St. Cyril Cancer Treatment Foundation, Omolara Arowolo, who confirmed that the patient has been undergoing treatment at the centre, said she would require other treatments before surgery estimated at N2,082,500 .
 
“She was here on August 14, for her fifth chemotherapy session, and still needs to do more.   After that, she would have a review with the consultant,” Arowole said.
 
Narrating her ordeal, the fashion designer said: “I noticed the problem last October. I went to General Hospital, Isolo, and I was told to go for a scan, before the lump developed to a bigger size.
 
“I was using herbal medicine. I stopped working in January 2023 because of the growth and pain, as it also affected my right hand. I am managing and have to depend solely on my husband who has spent all he has.
 
“I want Nigerians to help me. I need to undergo an operation. A total of N5 million for surgery and miscellaneous,” she pleaded .
