President Rotary Club of Agege, Otunba Adebayo Oke, has appealed to the government and well meaning Nigerians to collaborate with non-governmental organisations, including Rotary International, to address current economic hardship in the country.

Oke, the 40th President of the club, gave the call at his investiture ceremony which took place at Airport Hotel, Lagos, where the induction of the 2023-2024 board members to assist him in office as well as fundraising for humanitarian service projects to be executed during his tenure also took place.

“We are fully aware of the fact that our communities are confronted with great challenges, especially the downtrodden who struggle a lot to eat, clothe and also educate their children amid the current economic situation,” he said.

Oke promised to focus on laudable projects including economic and community development, basic education and literacy, disease prevention and treatment, maternal and child health, peace and conflict prevention, water sanitation and hygiene.
