West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has appointed Dr. Amos Josiah Dangut as new Head of Nigeria National Office. 
  
He succeeds Patrick Areghan, whose tenure ends this month.
   
Dangut, according to a statement yesterday, was until his new appointment, the Deputy Registrar/HNO’s Office.
   
He joined the organisation in 1998 as an Assistant Registrar II, and rose through the ranks to become a Deputy Registrar in April 2018.
   
The Plateau native won the Nigeria Examinations Committee’s commendation for transparent conduct of tests between 2000 and 2006.
