Mohbad: Naira Marley in Police custody for interrogation
Nigerian musician and the owner of Marlian Records, Azeez Fashola, aka Naira Marley, is now in police custody for interrogation over the death of his former signee, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, known as Mohbad.
The spokesperson of the Lagos State Police Command, Ben Hundeyin, confirmed this in a statement on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday night.
“Azeez Fashola, aka Naira Marley, has been taken into custody for interrogation and other investigation activities… #justice4Mohbad #justiceforMohbad,” Hundeyin posted.
The Nigerian Police Force confirmed last Thursday that Balogun Olamilekan Eletu, known as Sam Larry, was in their custody over the death of Mohbad.
Following the death of Mohbad on September 12, Nigerians pointed accusing fingers at Naira Marley, Sam Larry and many other individuals in the Marlian record label due to the way they bullied the late musician.
For instance, it is on record that the late Mohbad wrote a petition to the police department to inform them about the threat to his life by Sam Larry, Naira Marley and many others.
That was after Naira Marley’s right-hand man, Sam Larry was captured on camera bullying Mohbad during a video shoot with Zlatan coming to the rescue of his now departed friend.
