
The number of personal aides appointed by Adamawa State, Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, has risen to 180. The governor initially appointed 47 media aides, followed with 30 advisers, 45 senior special assistants, 37 principal special assistants and 21 special assistants.
She said the event is part of the activities to mark the 10th anniversary of the centre. She also said that there would be a symposium on artificial Intelligence.
She said the symposium, which will take place on Tuesday October 10,2023, 11a.m, at Ilupeju Recreation Hall, will feature renowned speakers from the fields of ophthalmology, artificial intelligence, and medicine, who is expected to share insights and experiences on how artificial intelligence can enhance eye care and prevent blindness.
Afolabi stated that during the symposium latest innovations and technologies that the ophthalmic group practice has adopted to provide quality eye care services to its patients would be showcased.
She said that the essay competition, which was sponsored by the family of the renowned English scholar and the author of the brighter grammar series.
late Ma Phebean Ogundipe, is the second in the series of annual essay competitions in public secondary schools in Lagos. Afolabi explained that there would be free eye screening programme for all the staff and students of Obanikoro High School during the essay competition.
“The winners, who will receive prizes would be announced at the annual prize giving day of Obanikoro High School on Thursday, October 12, 2023.
