
No fewer than 800 participants, including the Minister for Health, Ali Pate, Minister of State for Health and the 36 state commissioners for health will converge on Ekiti to discuss critical issues affecting the country’s health system.
The event, which is being held under the auspices of the National Council on Health from November 13 to 17, in Ado-Ekiti, is expected to also feature international development partners in the health sector.
Briefing newsmen, yesterday, in Ado Ekiti, the Commissioner for Health and Human Services, Dr Oyebanji Filani, who is also the chairman, Committee of Commissioners of Health in the country, disclosed that part of issues to be discussed is the need to increase budgetary provisions for health sector.
