Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and General Overseer, Christ Holy Church International, Archibishop Dr. Daniel Okoh 60th birthday celebration

The General Overseer, Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the Emeritus Catholic Bishop of Abuja, Cardinal John Onaiyekan and the Secretary General, Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), Prof Ishaq Oloyede, Sunday, eulogized the President, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and General Overseer, Christ Holy Church International, Archibishop Dr. Daniel Okoh on the occasion of his 60th birthday.

Adeboye who described Okoh as a man who dares to be different, told the celebrant that his sun is not going to set in the afternoon.

He said, “The message I brought to you from God Almighty himself is that number one, your sun is not going to set in the afternoon. Number two, you have not even started yet. God is still going to take you to great places.

“And number three, as the Lord lives, the one who has saved me thus far, he too will help you. He will take care of you and the ministry he has committed into your care.

“He will help you perform it. He will stand by you, he will take care of you and your family. And each time we hear from you, it will be good news. God will bless you. Many, many happy returns”, he prayed.

In his goodwill massage, Cardinal John Onaiyekan, stated that he was happy to say publicly what he has been telling Dr Okoh privately. He wished him many more happy years in good health and prayed for God’s direction and guidance upon his life and the lives of his family members.

On his part, Prof Oloyede stated that Okoh was not someone that will go with the crowd simply because majority is going that way, and always make his point without being offensive to anybody.
Speaking further, Oloyede said that Okoh was not one that is persuaded by wealth and affluence but very humble to the core.

“He is somebody who understands that power should not come with arrogance.

“It is very important for us to learn that what ever we have, this whole world itself is not real and will soon come to an end.

“I am not here to give a lecture but to congratulate our dear president for being who he is and my prayer is that God will continue to make him a model for all those who aspire for greatness”, he concluded

In his opening remark, Venerable Sunday Iwuchukwu, stated that the gathering was to celebrate the faithfulness of God in the life of the celebrant. He informed that God in his wisdom planned the life of Dr Okoh to unfold one after the other to the glory of his name.

In his remarks, Okoh noted that those who are leaders should be the servants of all “and that is what he has been.”
