
Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has wooed Denmark investors to boost the agricultural and other sectors of the economy of the state.
According to him, the state has comparative advantages in the production of sesame seeds and Gum Arabic for export at the commodity international market.
Director-General, Press and Media Affairs to the Governor, Mohammed Mamman, in a statement, yesterday, in Damaturu, said the investments were in the agricultural sector to boost production of high-grade sesame seeds and Gum Arabic for export and other industrial uses in Nigeria.
According to the statement, Buni and Krogstrup have already identified areas of common interests and agreed to meet again for further discussions.
Buni said that their discussions were to exploit more areas of economic benefits to the state and Denmark.
In his response, the ambassador, who welcomed the economic opportunities that abound in the state, said that Denmark would develop and market its natural deposits and other agricultural products, including Gum Arabic, to earn foreign exchange.
