Ogun State Government has restated its commitment to tackle the menace of open defecation in the state.Commissioner for Environment, Ola Oresanya, who stated that the state government has already begun a campaign against open defecation, said landlords without toilets in their houses would forfeit the property to the government.

Oresanya noted that the government would give a period of compliance to enable landlords convert one of the rooms to a toilet. He said: “The law permits us to take over such a house. It is in the public interest so that you don’t endanger the lives of the people living in the community
