Seven feared dead after gunmen attack Anambra nightclub
At least seven people, including members of a local vigilante group, have been killed following an attack by gunmen at the Porsche nightclub in Oba, Anambra State, on Sunday night.
The Anambra State Police Command confirmed the incident, with spokesperson DSP Tochukwu Ikenga stating that police recovered some bodies from the scene.
While the police official did not provide a specific number of casualties, local sources, however, put the death toll at seven.
Ikenga stated that the police responded quickly to the incident after learning of the attack. The gunmen, however, had already fled the scene by the time they arrived.
The police spokesperson also announced the full deployment of security operatives to Oba, stating that surveillance operations had been ongoing but no arrests had been made.
