Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC)
(FCT), Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, (NSCDC), Olusola Odumosu, has said that there is no room allowed for mistakes in the Standard Operating Procedure, (SOP), of the agency.

The commandant stated this while speaking to newly promoted officers of the Corps at the command headquarters yesterday in Abuja.

He said, “You must be core professionals; no mistakes are allowed in our Standard Operating Procedure; hence, no excuses for indiscipline, recklessness or any behaviour unbecoming of personnel will be condoned.”

While appreciating the Commandant General of the NSCDC for what he described as an unprecedented fear in terms of the number of officers promoted, Odumosu cautions the officers to always bear in mind that “to whom much is given, much is expected; therefore, now that you have been motivated, I charge you to see it as an excellent opportunity to re-commit and re-dedicate yourself to the service of the nation.”

He also commended the minister of interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo for approving the elevation of officers and men of the corps from one rank to another.

In a statement signed by the Command’s Public Relations Officer (PRO), Comfort Okamanyi, he admonished the officers, saying, β€œIt is imperative to be good ambassadors of the Corps as well as ensure civility in the discharge of our duties at all times.”
