A lecturer at the Federal College of Education, Iwo,Osun State, Mr Akinwole Adebayo, has called on the government to take a leading role in promoting critical thinking and problem-solving skills in students through interactive and competitive educational games.
This appeal was made during the Busy Brains Competition 2.0 edition held at the International Conference Centre, Lead City, Ibadan.
Adebayo, who is also the Inventor of MECAMA Educational Games, noted that the programme aimed to help participants’ thinking, teamwork, and quick decision-making skills throughout the competition.
He explained the games’ transformative role in reshaping English Studies and Mathematics curriculums, which would make learning simple, interactive, fun, and affordable while building the confidence of players in various real-life academic and social situations.
