Amb. Amina Smaila: US Historic Diplomatic Triumph

Nigeria’s Consul-General in Atlanta, Ambassador (Dr.) Amina Smaila has Trailblazed Georgia’s Historic Recognition of Diplomatic Excellence, a First in 247-Year Legacies of Senate and House of Representatives.

The Two houses invited her to the hallowed halls to be celebrated for her exceptional service.

Among these honours were the honourary citizenship certificate and the resolution commemorating International Diaspora Day, which stood as testament to Dr. Smaila’s enduring impact.

Her accolades include the prestigious Phoenix Award, the highest honour from the Mayor of Atlanta and the golden key to the city of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

In the same vein, House of Representatives further etched history by unanimously designating “Nigerians Day” in the state of Georgia.

It was reported that this resolution called upon the Governor to annually proclaim this day, ensuring its commemoration for years to come.
