Nollywood veteran Ganiu Oyeyemi popularly known as Ogunjimi is dead.

The sad news was announced by colleague, Kunle Afod on his Instagram page.

The cause of his death has not been announced yet.

“We tried our best but God loves you more. May his soul rest in peace, Baba Ogunjinmi. RIP Sun re oooo,” Kunle Afoot wrote in a post on Friday.

As the industry reels from the loss, fans and colleagues alike are paying tributes to the accomplished actor, remembering his contributions to Nigerian cinema.

Ogunjimi became famous through Yoruba films such as Koto Orun produced by late Yekinni Ajileye.
