The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, on Wednesday, pledged to improve security around Riverine communities.

Okpebholo also promised to provide amenities for the people of Ologbo Dukedom and ensure that the Marine Police operation in the Riverine community is beefed up and fully equipped.

He made the remark in Ologbo Community while on a ward campaign tour of Ikpoba Okha local government Council of Edo State.

The Governorship Candidate appealed to the people of Ologbo to vote for the APC in the September 21st governorship election

“Your community is a boarder town, I will provide the required amenities so that you people will be comfortable and be able to carry out your business in a peaceful environment.

“I heard they have taken you people’s land, I will return the land to you immediately I am sworn as the governor of Edo State, and will ensure the roads in the community are tared to make it accessible without difficulty.

“I will make sure I tared the roads immediately I resume office as the governor of Edo State.I know fully well that Ologbo community is a fishing community, I will make sure we provide soft loans and fishing equipment to enable the people carry out their business.”

Meanwhile, the campaign team had a stopover at the Palace of the Enogie of Ologbo, His Royal Highness, Prince Owenvbiugie Jason Akenzua, where the Governorship Okpebholo sought royal blessings.

At Uteh in Ikpoba okha local government area, Okpebholo assured the people that he would make sure that the major road that passed through the community gets attention.

In Aduwawa live stock and Kara Market, Okpebholo, who spoke in the Hausa language, promised to build a modern market conducive to trading as well as abolish double taxation.

He said, “I will rebuild the market, tare the road, and make sure you people trade in a very conducive environment.”

” I am coming to work for Edo people and not to steal their money, vote APC September 21, and freedom will come your way.”

Earlier, a former governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole, speaking in the Hausa dialect, assured the people that the APC candidate would never disappoint them.

“I stand here today to assure you all that Okpebholo will deliver Edo people from PDP harsh rule. I appeal to you people to come out enmase and vote APC on September 21,” he said.
