Four people were killed over the weekend when a passenger vehicle and a Peugeot car carrying farmers collided head-on near Ekogi village in Agaie Local Council, Niger State.
According to a source from the area, four people lost their lives in the incident, while 26 others sustained varying degrees of injury.
An eyewitness who confirmed the accident said that despite the swift response by the relevant authorities, four of the victims died.
The injured people were taken to Agaie General Hospital.
Those with severe injuries were referred to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Bida.
