The National Universities Commission (NUC) has given approval to the University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED), Ondo City, Ondo State, to commence full-time Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm. D.) and B.SLT Speech Language Therapy programmes.

In the approval letter, with reference number NUC/AP/S33/VOL I/40, the programs will commence from the 2024/2025 academic session, beginning on 6th October 2024.

According to the commission’s Acting Director of Academic Planning, Abubakar Girei, who signed the letter on behalf of the Executive Secretary of NUC, the university was urged “to provide adequate human and material resources for the development and growth of the programs.”

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Adesegun Fatusi, who lauded NUC for the prompt approval, assured the commission of the institution’s unwavering commitment to ensuring the programs’ success.
