Popular Nollywood star Funke Akindele is set to thrill fans once again with her new film, ‘Everybody Loves Jenifa,’ which will premiere in cinemas on December 13.

Akindele announced the premiere date in a funny video posted on her Instagram page, where a tug of war played out between the cast of her last film, ‘A Tribe Called Judah,’ and her latest project.
The playful clash was staged to decide which movie would get a December release, with ‘Everybody Loves Jenifa’ eventually winning the day.

The film features a star-studded cast, including Omowunmi Dada, Nancy Isime, Falz, Stan Nze, and Jackie Appiah.
Captioning the video, she wrote: “THE BATTLE OF TWO CHAMPIONS!!! Who will emerge victorious?”

In 2024, Funke Akindele’s film A Tribe Called Judah became the highest-grossing Nigerian movie ever, surpassing the previous record set by her own movie, Battle on Buka Street.

She produced and directed the three highest-grossing Nollywood films of all time: A Tribe Called Judah, Battle on Buka Street, and Omo Ghetto: The Saga.
