United Kingdom (U.K.) has recognised the founder and Chief Executive Officer of IA-Foundation, Ibironke Adeagbo, for her leadership and contributions to advancing education for underserved communities.

She was honoured with the Exemplary Women of Excellence Award at the EPRA Leadership and Entrepreneurial Awards UK 2024.

Adeagbo’s selection for the award acknowledges her tireless efforts in championing educational opportunities for vulnerable and out-of-school children in Nigeria and beyond.

The EPRA Leadership and Entrepreneurial Awards celebrate women leaders, who have made significant strides in their respective fields.

The IA-Foundation boss has led numerous initiatives that provide access to quality education for children from low-income backgrounds.

The Guardian gathered that through the Foundation’s programmes, hundreds of children had been equipped with the resources and support they needed to excel academically and reach their full potential.

Adeagbo said: “This award is a reminder that our efforts are making a difference in the lives of children. Education is a powerful tool for change, and we are committed to ensuring that every child, regardless of their circumstances, has the opportunity to learn and succeed.”

While commending Adeagbo on the feat, her organisation, IA-Foundation, said the award reflects Adeagbo’s dedication to creating sustainable educational opportunities and empowering the next generation.

It said her work had continued to inspire change and positive impact not just in Nigeria but across various communities globally.
