Nigerian music star, Chukwudi Ezeagwa, popularly known as Shakar EL is out with an exciting collaboration featuring Ugandan hitmaker Big Tril, famous for the global anthem “Parte After Parte.” The new single, titled Chica Bonita, is set to drop on October 25, 2024, across all major digital music platforms.

Chica Bonita; produced by Otyno, is poised to be a potential hit, continuing Shakar EL’s passion for promoting Pan-African unity through music. Known for his deep love for Africa and his mission to foster collaboration across the continent, Shakar EL is using this project to further bridge the musical cultures of Africa.

Having recently returned to Nigeria from an international media promotional tour for his last album, Sounds of Shakar EL, which saw him promote his music across Europe and North America, Shakar EL expressed his excitement for the song and its potential impact saying; “I’ve always believed in the power of collaboration, and this song with Big Tril is a step towards reinforcing that belief. Chica Bonita is not just about the music, but about bringing African talents together”.

Shakar EL, widely known as the “King of Orishirishi,” has consistently delivered unique and diverse music that blends Afrobeat, Highlife, and other genres. He made waves with his earlier singles like “Orishirishi Swagga” and “Anyhow”, both of which were instrumental in spreading Afrobeat culture within the UK and beyond. His latest album, Sounds of Shakar EL, released in 2023, features 16 tracks, showcasing his evolution and dedication to the Afrobeat genre.
