Bread Pizza

Craving pizza but don’t have pizza dough or an oven? No problem! You can make a delicious and satisfying pizza using everyday bread and simple appliances like an air fryer or microwave. This simple recipe is perfect for a quick and easy weeknight meal, even for busy professionals. It’s also satisfying and yummy, just like the regular pizza. So, let’s get cooking.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices of bread (white, wheat, or anyone you like)
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Toppings of your choice:
  • Bell peppers, sliced thinly
  • Fresh tomatoes, sliced 
  • Onions, sliced 
  • Olives, sliced 
  • Cooked chicken pieces
  • Pepperoni slices
  • Mushrooms
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning or dried oregano
  • Fresh basil leaves (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat your oven, air fryer or microwave to 450°F (230°C).
  2. Slice the bread loaf to create thin slices.
  3. Drizzle olive oil or melted butter over both sides of the bread slices.
  4. Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Spread a layer of pizza sauce over the top of each bread slice.
  6. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce.
  7. Top with your favourite pizza toppings.
  8. Place the bread slices on a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Additional  tips

  • For a crispier crust, broil the pizza for a few minutes after baking.
  • Experiment with different toppings to find your favourite combination.
  • If you don’t have pizza sauce, you can use tomato sauce or even ketchup as a substitute.
  • Use whole-grain bread and load up on veggie toppings for a healthier version.
  • Serve with a side of marinara sauce, ranch dressing, or garlic butter for dipping.
