The Federal Government has reversed its decision to set an 18-year age limit for admission seekers in tertiary institutions.
Specifically, the Nigerian government has set the benchmark of tertiary education admission at 16 years, reversing the decision of the immediate past Minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman.
The new Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, stated this at his maiden press briefing in Abuja on Tuesday.

The Minister also sustained the suspension of accreditation and evaluation of degree certificates from universities in Benin Republic and Togo.
