The Federal Capital Territory College of Education, Zuba, says plans have been concluded for its 3rd combined convocation for more than 1000 graduates.

The Provost of the college, Dr Sule Mundi, disclosed this during a pre-convocation press conference, in Abuja on Wednesday.

Mudi said that the 1000 graduates would be presented with the Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) in 28 different programmes.

He said that the college has not had convocation since February 2020, adding that the combined convocation was for five consecutive sets of graduates.

He disclosed that 11 best students and few outstanding personalities would be honoured during the event.

“The main convocation will be held on Saturday, and FCT Minister Nyesom Wike is expected to grace the event,” he said.

The provost identified insecurity as one of the major challenges affecting the college permanent site.

He, however, said that the school management had provided a perimeter fence, security gate house and security personnel, to boost safety of lives and property within the school premises. (NAN)
