Women in the country have been urged to intensify efforts towards the growth and development of their families and the nation at large.
The wife of the former Governor of Akwa-Ibom State, Dr Martha Udom-Emmanuel, who disclosed this in Abeokuta, Ogun State, said this has become imperative because, over time, women have been a hallmark of distinction by making an impact in various spheres of human endeavour.
Udom-Emmanuel, who gave the charge while speaking on the theme, “The Woman And The Well,” at the grand finale of the Annual Women Convention, organised by the Victory Women International (VWI), held at the Life Cathedral, Victory Life Bible Church Auditorium, Abeokuta.
According to her, women must always live up to their billings as special vessels of God, as much is expected of them. “As children of God, it’s essential to distinguish ourselves in our workplaces, regardless of our position.”
“Sometimes, it can be challenging to stand out, especially when faced with opposition from those who don’t want to do things the right way.”
Udom-Emmanuel, while extolling the virtues of Rev. Fola Achudume, described her as a role model, a trainer of trainers and a rallying point for millions of people, especially women folk all around the world, adding that she is indeed very proud of her.
