
While still mourning the death of Pa Ayo Adebanjo, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party in 2024, Peter Obi has expressed shock over the passing of another revered elder statesman, Chief Edwin Clark.
On behalf of his family and the Obidient Movement, Obi extended heartfelt sympathies to the Clark family and the Pan-Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), calling Clark a towering figure in Nigeria’s socio-political landscape.

Obi remembered Clark as a steadfast advocate for peace, justice, equity, and good governance, noting his strong support for Obi’s presidential campaign.
“Chief Clark’s endorsement symbolized his commitment to a New Nigeria based on fairness and progress,” Obi remarked.
He offered condolences to the Ijaw Kingdom, Delta State, and the entire nation, praying for strength for all affected by the loss and for Clark’s eternal rest.
