Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has unveiled a digital platform for the issuance of certificates and report cards to students in the state public schools.

Speaking at the event, the state commissioner for Education, Dr Paddy Iyamu, said the innovation was made possible with support from the Gates Foundation.

The commissioner added that the initiative was designed to offer digital access to educational certificates.

He commended the Gates Foundation for its commitment and collaboration in improving the education standard in the state.

The Permanent Secretary in the education ministry, Mrs Edith Ebomoyi, said the digital certificate would help in securing records.

Besides, Ebomoyi added that the platform will reduce processing delays and secure digital access to academic records.
