The Estam University, Benin, has conferred to Oghenekowhoyan Onaibe Desmond, popularly known by his stage name Destalker with an Honorary Doctorate Degree.

Destalker was conferred with the honorary Doctorate Degree during the Estam University Matriculation & Convocation Ceremony, with the theme “Adapting to a Changing World: The Role of Building Your Legacy,”

This prestigious honour recognises Destalker’s outstanding achievements in the entertainment industry, entrepreneurial success, and his unwavering commitment to mentoring the younger generation of entertainers.

In 2008, he said took a bold step by moving to Lagos, Nigeria’s entertainment hub, with dreams of making a name for himself.

“Destalker’s journey to success is an inspiring tale of resilience, creativity, and the relentless pursuit of excellence,” the school said.

“His impact on the entertainment industry and society at large, cannot be overstated. His journey from a young dreamer in Delta State to a globally recognized entertainer and businessman is a source of inspiration for countless individuals.”
